2 general questions:

1, We have heard horror stories of Josh and Gay-tos, (The job interview story was possibly my favorite, unless this one is more awesome.) However, we have never heard the story of the origin of Gay-tos. Did Josh lose a bet, or was this a really poor choice?

2.To Josh and Eli, is there any video game you regret working on? OR just one that is so possibly bad that you treat it as a kidnapped girl in a hole in the basement, who happens to be a size 14 (lotion in the basket and small dog NOT included.)

Does he mean like, people who thought a show where geeks are the main protagonists (and just barely, cause they also end up as assholes) are a novel concept? Or does he mean the guy who takes something old, adds zombies, goes "OLOLOL" and makes millions of dollars?

Because I'm an idiot, I punished myself yesterday to an afternoon matinee showing of the silver screen turd X-Men Origins: Wolverine. There's already a forum topic on the general shittiness of the film.

My question: What makes a good superhero movie? The Dark Knight and Iron Man were both hailed by geeks and the populace at large for being generally good films, though for much different reasons. What lessons can Hollywood learn from those movies to prevent high budget turds like Wolverine, a movie featuring arguably one of the most popular and beloved superheroes to geek/nerd culture.

Also, does anyone know or give a hoot about Sons of Anarchy on FX? I haven't seen it but from what I hear its a show about a biker gang starring Ron Perlman (with Katey Sagal as his old lady!) and it acts out Shakespeare storylines. Certainly sounds interesting.

Have any of you ever seen The Wire? It was an HBO series done by the guys who did Generation Kill (excellent). It was a cop show, at least originally, but done with equal time for the drug dealers they were after, as well as incorporating the rest of the city, so you can see how decisions affect people. For example, you see how a cops decisions can affect the mayor, and how his reactions affect drug addicts in the city. It also contains the greatest character ever, in any media, Omar Little. He's a gay black man with a shotgun who robs drug dealers. He is Magnificent. Any thoughts?

Some friends and I were discussing possible (but ill-chosen) live-action film versions of video games, and we decided that -if only because it is a prerequisite for the Apocalypse- a live-action version of "Sonic The Hedgehog" must be made!
After some discussion, we concluded that the only logical choice for Dr. Robotnic would of course be Will Farrel. (Although if it were a Dark Knight rip off then Philip Seymour Hoffman would also make sense.) My question is, who would be your choice to slip into a blue costume and play Sonic? Not to mention the actor to portray Tails, Knuckles, etc.

Do you have any all-time favourite war movies or TV series? Also, which war has given us the most entertaining/compelling fictions? Obviously WW2 has arguably the largest amount of stuff made about it anywhere, but there are many classic Vietnam films as well as a lot of new stuff being made about the wars in Iraq. And then there's the Cylons…"Ah those assholes, don't get me stahted on tha Cylahns…"

I keep reading about old people that think they're inventing new forms of media, but are really just inventing new genres within existing forms that are overblown in their minds. I don't like these people. Are there evolutions of existing media that you feel are logical next steps, or logical future media types?

Do you guys know anyone who had to take the US Citizenship test?
Apparently you need to answer 6 out of the 10 questions they ask you correctly, and they choose from a list of 100 available at http://www.uscis.gov/files/nativedocuments/100q.p… . What do you want to bet that the rich applicants from Japan get like "Who was the first president?" and "What ocean is on the west coast of the United States?" while people from Mexico end up with shit like "How many amendments to the Constitution are there?" and "Name one of the writers of the Federalist papers." (all real questions).

Also, what percentage of people born in this country would probably fail this test?
