The most intensely disturbing film I've seen recently is "Wolf Creek", I just wanted to correct Eli as well, Left 4 Dead is on consoles as well as PC.

The whole sharkman segment was comedy gold.

Could there every be the possibility of ordering premium versions of frames from the comics at the store. For instance I would buy a print of CATONMYFACE if it had a fully rounded speech bubble. Would that sort of service be too much extra work?

In fact looking back through the strips for possible prints I'm thinking the George Carlin memorial strip would look good on my wall, EDIT – ORDERED!!

BTW from next month I'll be setting up a paypal subscription partly for the aftershow goodness but mostly because I don't want this to go away.
It's a pity im in the UK so I can't get involved in any of the live stuff.

I'm about halfway through listening to this, but I had to comment: you guys are terrible comic geeks.

    Alan Moore is British.
The DC series Eli was thinking of is Kingdom Come.
Joel, there has only been 1 X-Men crossover in the past 10 years (last year's Messiah Complex). And it was fucking awesome.

Dude, sell me your Wii; I want to play No More Heroes but don't want to spend $300 to do it.

  7. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #7

    Glad your enjoying the podcast!

  8. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #8

Oh, my Wii is worth at least $10,000.

  9. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #9

I dipped it in Platinum a while back. Then I rolled it around in Rubys and diamonds. It doesnt play games any more, but honestly it never really did.

I tried to correct at least two of those flubs during the show. I blame ustreamer-9949.

I have an 11 hour drive tomorrow. I can't tell you how excited I am to learn that this podcast is THREE AND A HALF HOURS LONG. YES!!!!

Thank you for understanding that your listeners love to hear you ramble for as long as possible. I know how I'm spending the first three and a half hours of my trip. WHOOO

  14. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #14

Ah, now, see, that's too bad. If it'd been gold-pressed latinum, on the other hand…

  15. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #15

It's actually more. For some reason, all the podcasts say they are a certain length, and then end up being longer. It's weird, but in the good way, i guess. Free podcast!

  16. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #16

I'm going to go donate so you can buy some comics, and by comics I mean food.

  17. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #17

All are welcome…. until they get banned.

  18. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #18

Thanks. You made me watch Mr Show on Youtube for 45 minutes.

  19. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #19

I really do appreciate the support. Email me your ideas for "single panel" prints and I will look into it. Im sure its doable, and I can think of a few panels that would make good stand alones.

  20. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #20

Word. I stopped reading comics regularly aout 15 years ago. Now I just read the Whedonverse comics, so Im behind the times.

  21. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #21

    its also a shower radio

  22. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #22

??? Its 3 and half hours. Where do you see that it's longer?

  23. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #23

Im glad you're happy about it, but we REALLY arent making them long on purpose. Honestly I think we'll turn away new potential listeners if they keep bing 3+ hours.

  24. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #24

Hmm, I put the podcasts on my Mp3 player, and they seem to be going past 0:00:00. My Windows Media Classic player says Episode 22 The Bat Cast is 4 hours long. Of course, it ends at 3 and a half.

Maybe it uses the time of the whole thing, including the Post show?

  25. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #25

I don't know about other readers / listeners but I'd prefer it if you didn't make a concious decision about the length. Just keep it like it is now decide the basic structure and just let it go where it goes. If it's a long podcast great if it's slightly shorter some weeks so be it. If you start putting restraints on the flow I think you'll lose something.

  26. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #26

I agree, but I think we are losing something already… listeners. I bet most people see the time stamp and move on.
