Man, no criticism here so please don't take it the wrong way…

Why is there a considerable time gap between the posting of each podcast and their respective upload to iTunes?

  2. February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 | #2

Not sure what you mean. The moment the podcast goes live on the site the feed is updated within a few minutes. Then iTunes can pull the new episode from the feed. That all happens automatically and I have no control over it.

If you are asking why there is a gap between when we record and when the podcast is uploaded to the site, its because I have to edit, mix, convert and tag the podcast then make a post with all the relevant links and such. Its just time consuming.

Noooooooooo! Not Top Gear! Why?! I love that show and I don't give a damn about cars! Dammit it is going to suck royally now.

Nah, like I got the podcast at some point today and I'm subscribed to the feed on iTunes but it came out yesterday…

Nice job Joel and crew….been a reader/listener since the first podcast. Haven't bought any shirts yet but plan to buy into the "vault of secret awesome."

While I agree that there is great potential for TG USA to suck, I'm hoping that it won't. I love watching the UK version and supposedly the US team has been approved to criticize any car they want.

Glad to hear some Kiss Kiss Bang Bang love. That movie was one of those gems I found in a $5 bin.

Oh, that's all iTunes. I have no control over it. After I post the podcast I can hit "refresh" on itunes and it downloads it immediately.

Dunno why I found the "latent foley artist" dig so funny, but it was.

Weird 6 degrees of separation – I used to read and post occasionally on pointlesswasteoftime.com, and Nedroid used to post on there. He was a funny guy then, I'll have to check out his site.

Yay for The Soup. Love that show! Joel McHale is so good as the host! Remember John Henson? I used to like him when he was the host, but damn is his career a piece of shit now. I mean, the guy was working on the TV Guide Channel for a while.
