Hooray! Can’t wait to listen to this! The only thing that would be better would be it you named it Oral Hijinks. Or Aural Hijinks. Either works. C’mon! You can’t beat that!

Ok, maybe you can. Either way, I’m excited to hear it and am downloading it now.

Yeah, I had no idea what Josh was saying at all. You need a better call out system for the reals.

In other news, I’m a big fan of the new Gladiators event, “Earthquake” where they talk it up like you’re swinging hundreds of feet above the arena on a pedestal and it’s literally like 4 feet off of a mat.

It’s actually cheesier than the old show. I miss Larry Czonka.

This was absolutely awesome. You guys need to set up that iTunes feed shit so I can subscribe. The Stalone voice had me rolling on the floor.

  4. February 4th, 2008 at 06:15 | #4

    That was hilarious.

I’m going to be terribly sad now and point out that it was Merry and Pippin who met the Ents, not Frodo.

FInal Countdown clip = RIAA violation!!

NICE! I can tell I’m going to like future episodes of this. The many Tenacious D references were well appreciated. I used to do two music podcasts, one with my wife called Rocket Sauce and one called The Search for Inspirado. So, you can see my level of Tenacious D-votion. Man, that was a horrid pun.

Joel’s impression of Eli’s grandma channeled through the spirit of Slowpoke Rodriguez… I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. I actually laughed out all my sick. That’s attractive!

  8. February 4th, 2008 at 10:24 | #8

well you set yourself up for greatness, with one of the greatest (and possibly the most brain sticky song from the 80’s) if i remember anything from this pod cast it’ll be that song LOL

Awesome! I was stifling giggles (the appropriate response to listening to NSFW stuff at work) the entire time. I’m looking forward to the next one.

I think it shold be called “uncomfortableness ensues.” It’s great though. It’s a magical trainwreck of the most wonderful proportions. Rambo needs to be recurring…ADRIAAAAANNNNNNNNN!!!!!

I’m having trouble getting it to play. It could just be my crappy internet connection, though.

    February 5th, 2008 at 09:53 | #13

Yeah, about 30 minutes in, it starts over from the beginning. I downloaded the mp3 and got the same thing. I’m gonna try clearing my cache and trying again.

Switched to a different computer and it worked. Stupid internet connection at work.
I’m impressed by the range of references you made. It was all stuff I understood as well. Really funny, and I’ll definitely add this to the list of podcasts in iTunes.

The rambo bits killed me. Literally. I’m posting this from beyond the grave. They have free wifi here.

And then the Ent bit hammer-raped my funny bone. Literally.

    Keep it up!

By the time Cloverfield and Treebeard were chillin’ out together, I had given up on trying not to laugh out loud to myself in public as I walked to work, listening to it on my iPod. I’ve been reading the comic for months now, but this was just too marvelous to go by without comment. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Even though I’m never going to think about trees the same way again…
